We are a team of highly motivated, dedicated individuals with a passion for ensuring the delivery high quality Skills and Employability training. We recognise the support required to enable the delivery of cohesive, sustained Skills and Employability programmes. We understand that every institution, every employer regardless of size, type or purpose must have a robust set of strategies, finances, processes and procedures aligned to the values of promoting opportunity through fit for purpose, supportive, challenging, high quality provision. We believe we can provide the support required to enable that to happen and to live up to our mission of promoting excellence in training.

We understand that every learner counts. Providing them with the opportunity to grow and develop, to maximise their potential and surpass aspirations is never overlooked or forgotten. We also acknowledge the call by government and employers to create a more skilled workforce to increase productivity to help grow our economy. We have experience of developing integrated employment and skills programmes which are employer led, fit for purpose and deliver real outcomes and opportunities for participants.

Collectively we provide a unique blend of knowledge and experience enabling us to provide specific, tailored support appropriate to your requirements.

Skills Consultants have a wealth of experience working for public, private and third sector organisations operating in the Adult Skills and Welfare to Work arenas.  Our consultants have held directorships within national organisations responsible for the delivery of multi-million pound Skills, Employability and commercial contracts. They have led senior management teams and overseen national delivery teams. Each consultant has also held pivotal roles in large scale change management programmes. We bring experience of mergers and acquisitions, entering into and developing international markets as well as exposure to a variety of sectors.

      Andy Woodall

      Andy is a skilled Learning and Development professional with experience gained over 10 years at a senior level with a national training provider.

      Andy’s strengths lie in his ability to help businesses develop an engaged and highly productive workforce across multiple sites through periods of growth, challenge, complexities and change.

      Andy possesses an inclusive and consultative style of delivery with the ability to work and influence at both a strategic and operational level.

      He has a proven track record of devising and delivering interventions in line with core business and contractual requirements, ensuring an immediate return on investment.

      Andy is an innovative, lateral and creative thinker, able to design, develop and deliver training that responds to the needs of the business having an immediate and long lasting impact on business performance and culture.

    • Lewis Blain
        Lewis Blain

        Lewis has invested over 20 years working in the skills sector including as contracts director for one of the largest national training providers in the country. He possesses extensive operational experience at senior level.

        An authority on all things Apprenticeship his knowledge is keenly sought by providers, government and employers alike.

        Lewis has been heavily involved in the new apprenticeship agenda taking part in development activities and providing advice on policy.

        Lewis lives in Wiltshire and is married with two teenage daughters who seem to fill his spare time. A keen sportsman, he has been involved in sport his entire life and has competed at international level in several combat sports which later inspired him to become a qualified sports psychologist.

      • Steve Marsland
          Steve Marsland

          Steve is an experienced leader and executive director with exposure to both the Skills and Welfare to Work arenas. He has held P&L and business development responsibilities across a variety of front line public services and geographies including the UK, Europe, Australia and Israel. Steve brings 20 years experience across commercial, operational, account and market development roles, and his most recent role has been leading a business and performance insight function to improve Management Information and Business Intelligence capabilities.

          Steve brings particular insight in financial modelling and commercials; supply chain development; developing evidence based performance offers and continuous improvement; complex programme management and implementation; and MI/BI system development and insight.

          As well as cycling and mountaineering, Steve coaches his son’s junior football team and cheers his daughter on as she swims for the City of Sheffield.
